PAST EVENTS

Show Up, Show Love

“Show Up, Show Love,” is our gift to Nashers–and we hope you’ll join us in showing your love however you can.

As young women and gender-expansive youth of color grow up and venture beyond high school–and as they navigate college, often as first-generation students–they deserve to be held by a supportive community. They need us to show up. We’re calling on our #NashFam to show your love for Nashers–help us reach our goal of $5,000 by August 25.

Siblinghood Academy Information Sessions

Siblinghood Academy is an after-school program designed for participants to use their own life experiences as a starting point to explore and discuss issues that matter to them as they build a close, supportive community with each other.

We are offering a session on September 7th, from 5:00 pm -6:00 pm and on September 8th, from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Joy & Liberation 2023

This year’s Evening of Joy & Liberation was an incredible event that truly lived up to its name. We were inspired by the grace, presence, and authenticity of our guest speakers: Leadership Honoree Misty Copeland, Unstoppable Alumna Monique Dorsainvil, Poet Sierra Etes, MC Treasure Brooks, and last but not least, Nashers Lucia Penaflor and Sydnei Brown. We were also moved by the words of our Petticoat Awardee Eve Yohalem, who was there in spirit.

ELLA Fellowship Information Session

The Ella Fellowship is a unique leadership opportunity for young activists age 18-22 to create and implement a community focused project with the support of a cohort. Applications due on October 20th.

Have questions about whether ELLA is right for you? Join our virtual info session on October 12th at 5:30pm. Register Below.

Home for Activism: Creating Connection

Sadie Nash Leadership Project is committed to building community with Nashers present, past and future. Our vision is of a world that centers the experiences and leadership of young women and gender-expansive youth of color — building on their perspective, commitment, and brilliance to become a healthier, safer, and more just society for us all.

This event will launch our Alumni Council to support the key needs of Sadie Nash through mobilizing the talent, expertise, time, and resources of its members.
