Sadie Nash Leadership Project’s mission is to strengthen, empower, and equip young women and gender-expansive youth of color as agents for change in their lives and in the world. To do this work, every member of our community — from program managers, to deans, to donors — has an important role.

Ayannah Salaam is a Bronx-born, Harlem bred native New Yorker. Her experience at Sadie Nash Leadership Project spans a range of programming from 2013-2015 starting with Summer Institute, to Community Action Placement and Summer Empowerment Training.

The Spring season is a season of new beginnings, of reflection, and a time to welcome in change. As April is Earth Month, we have been thinking a lot about the impact of climate change on young people’s lives and their futures.

As part of Sadie Nash Leadership Project’s 20th anniversary commitment to serve more young people, we are excited to share about our expansion working with middle school-age youth through a new partnership with Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School (WHEELS NYC) & Futures Ignite.
