WHAT IS COMMUNITY ACTION PLACEMENT (CAP)?

Community Action Placement (CAP) is a skill development, service learning, and leadership training program that enables Summer Institute participants to utilize their abilities throughout the academic year. Nashers complete an intensive training and then are guaranteed a summer opportunity or internship that enhances their skills, interests, and knowledge.


During this time, SNLP provides: job readiness training and evaluation, close oversight during the placements, and personal check-ins. Nashers are paid for their work by SNLP. In addition to their work placements, CAP Nashers have the opportunity to attend Women In Action trips, career panels, and conferences.


WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Nashers who have completed Summer Institute and can commit to attending ALL days and times that CAP meets.
 

HOW DO YOU APPLY?

We hope you consider applying to CAP! The application cycle for CAP is currently open! OTHER DETAILS

CAP takes place Mondays after school at our Sadie Nash Offices:

Our NYC office is located at 4 West 43rd Street, 5th floor, between 5th and 6th Avenue near Bryant Park. You can take the 1/2/3/N/Q/R/A/C/E to Times Square, the B/D/F/M/7 to Bryant Park, or the 4/5/6/S to Grand Central. 

Our Newark office is located at 31 Mulberry Street, Newark, NJ 07102 near NJPAC in downtown Newark. 

Classes begin on October 15th, 2018.
