We believe all young women (please click here to read our Gender Recruitment Policy) should have an experience like the Sadie Nash Leadership Project. The application process is a way we can get to know you, give you a chance to tell us about yourself, and make sure that SNLP can meet your needs and help you reach your potential as a leader.
We are looking for young women who are both traditional and non-traditional leaders, and most importantly we are looking for young women who want an experience like the Sadie Nash Leadership Project and can commit to it. If you have any questions, or would like support, at any point during the application process please contact us. We are here to make this process easy for you.
In order to accommodate as many young women as possible, and find the best program for you, we have two main programs that you can apply to:
Summer Institute (deadline to apply is
in the Spring): for young women in high school in New York City and who can commit
to a full-time summer program. The program is completely free and you will receive
a stipend to help you pay for the subway and lunch. After the Summer Institute
is over, you have the option of attending our Community
Action Placement program
and the Leadership Action Project program. To apply to our Summer Institute, click
here.
Nash University (various application deadlines): for young women ages 14-21 years old and who are interested in taking specific courses or workshops to develop your leadership skills. The program is completely free and metro cards are available if needed. To apply to Nash University, click here. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide this
experience for everyone. In order to select the best-matched young
women for SNLP we ask that every young woman who is interested
fill out a brief application, and interview with
us.
